School dismisses at 1:45 p.m. on May 28–31. The first exam of the day is from 8:45 to 10:50 a.m. The second exam of the day is from 10:54 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and includes a 25 minute lunch. Exams are given to all 8th grade students and any 6th/7th grade student taking a Carnegie unit class such as algebra, geometry, and/or world language(s).
Semester tests/projects are given to all 6th and 7th grade students.
***Students are only exempt from semester tests/projects/exams if they pass (minimum score is 400) their SOL's. If they are exempt and do not report to school, the absence will be recorded as an excused absence. Otherwise, students are expected to attend school.
SOL's are taken in the following courses:
- 6th and 7th grade students: Take SOL's in reading and math.
- 8th grade students: Take SOL's in reading, math, history, and science.
Important Dates:
- Monday, May 27: Holiday - Memorial Day
- Tuesday, May 28: Blocks A1 and A3
- Wednesday, May 29: Blocks B1 and B3
- Thursday, May 30: Blocks A2 and A4
- Friday, May 31: Blocks B2 and B4. Last day for students.
