Congratulations! Your child has made it to the end of middle school, and we want to celebrate their accomplishments! On Friday, June 10 we have planned an entire day to recognize all 8th graders at OKMS. Here is the schedule of events for that day:
Friday, June 10, 2022
8:45–10:15 a.m.: 8th Grade Awards Assembly
- We invite you to join us in the cafetorium for the presentation of awards and recognitions.
10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.: Bowling Field Trip
- Students will travel to Bowlero Mechanicsville to bowl from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..
- Lunch will be provided (lunch options: two slices of cheese pizza, hotdog and french fries, or two slices of gluten free pizza).
- Cost is $20 and is payable by cash, check (payable to OKMS), or online .
- Money and permission slips are due no later than Friday, May 13.
- Must wear athletics shoes.
- Interested in chaperoning? Please fill out this survey, and we will contact you soon! Spots are limited and not guaranteed. If selected, you will need to complete a volunteer form if we don’t have one on file for the 2021–2022 school year.
1:45–3:00 p.m.: Faculty vs. Student Basketball Game
- Students can assemble a team of five to six students to compete against their teachers! More information to come!
3:00–3:45 p.m.: Ice Cream Celebration and Yearbook Signing
- Students will enjoy ice cream outdoors and spend time signing yearbooks.
6:00–8:00 p.m.: 8th Grade Dance
- This is free for all 8th graders.
- Only 8th grade Oak Knoll Middle School students may attend.
